Several years ago I was on my way to Fairbanks, Alaska. While visiting a lot of places in the 49th and largest state of the U.S. I stopped in North Pole as well. I never received one of the personalized Santa letters from there which are being sent out to children since 1952.
But I spotted like lots of visitors before me the Santa Claus House. One of the official places of Santa around the world it seems. And a place of 365 days christmas activities.
For the last report about unusual and surprising hospitals in the world in 2015 I found this: The North Pole Verterinary Hospital. Started in 1971 the three engaged veterinarian doctors Denali Lovely, Melissa Rouge and Dawn Brown present quite some service as a power-women-trio there.
Would you have expected such a service list?
End of Life Support and Euthanasia

Puppy and Kitten Packages
Simply impressive. Veterinary hospitals have no “beds” but the same dedication for health. And animals. Small ones and big ones.
And there are promotions as well:
This year, Dr. Lovely was featured in the Newsminer’s Women in Business – see the article on page 14 here. She bought the hospital in 2006 with her husband. She developed that special hospital to the actual size with 4 veterinarians and 18 staffers. “This is not a 9-to-5 job; it’s 12-hour days sometimes”. Not only as the past president of the Alaska Veterinary Medical Association but as a manager, veterinarian with passion and a mother and wife she stands for the true comittment it takes to run a hospital. Find more on Facebook.
I am sure that even Santa’s reindeers would love to go there for a check-up, some dental control and vaccinations to stay on top for the yearly christmas eve race around the world.
Dear readers – I wish you all the best for 2016. New hospital reports are comming, stay tuned, take care.
